SISTEM INFORMASI PENGGAJIAN KARYAWAN BERBASIS WEB PADA HARIAN UMUM MERCUSUAR PALU
Abstract
Harian Umum Mercusuar masih menggunakan metode konvensional dalam penggajian karyawan, yaitu dengan spreadsheet Microsoft Excel. Keterbatasan Excel, seperti tidak adanya relasi antar entitas serta struktur database yang baik, menyebabkan sering terjadinya kesalahan akurasi data dan beberapa perhitungan masih dilakukan secara manual. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sistem informasi penggajian berbasis web yang dapat menyajikan data penggajian secara cepat dan akurat. Data penelitian terdiri atas data primer dan sekunder yang diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian rekayasa dengan paradigma prototype. Sistem dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan basis data MySQL. Hasil penelitian berupa perangkat lunak sistem informasi penggajian karyawan yang memiliki fitur utama: data pegawai, data jabatan, data absensi, pengaturan potongan gaji, perhitungan gaji, serta laporan gaji. Sistem diuji menggunakan metode black box untuk memastikan kesesuaian fungsional. Implementasi dilakukan secara offline melalui localhost. Sistem informasi ini memudahkan bagian keuangan maupun admin dalam mengelola dan memperoleh informasi penggajian dengan lebih cepat, akurat, dan efisien dibandingkan metode sebelumnya.
